Event center shows and the Canby calendar
The county event center on the edge of Canby runs shows, fairs and trade events through most of the year, and the largest of them put thousands of people onto a site whose permanent facilities were never sized for that. A Canby show takes banks of standard units at the gate ends and the parking approaches, ADA accessible units on sealed ground and handwashing stations at every food row.
Load-in and load-out drive the Canby schedule. We deliver Canby event orders before the exhibitor vehicles arrive and collect once the site has cleared, because a truck trying to work a Canby showground mid-event has nowhere to stand.
Downtown, streets and public works in Canby
Canby has kept a compact downtown with buildings straight onto the pavement, and the work there is shopfront refits, upper floor conversions and public realm improvement. A Canby downtown site has no yard, so cabins go inside the site fencing and the service visit fits around the pavement closure.
Street and utility projects run alongside in Canby. A Canby water or sewer crew works a section at a time behind traffic control, with the cabin at the plant compound and moved along the corridor as the work advances.
Bottomland ground and Canby winters
Canby sits on rich river bottomland, which is superb soil and dreadful standing ground. From late October a Canby field or grass strip holds water, and a cabin set on it will settle unevenly within days rather than weeks.
That pushes every Canby placement onto hard surfaces. We place Canby cabins on asphalt, concrete or compacted rock through the wet half of the year, and for winter events at Canby we keep the whole order on the sealed apron rather than the grass overflow.
